During the March 13th meeting, members made metal bracelets under the tutelage of Yvonne Warren. Yvonne provided many of the materials for these Gypsy inspired creations.
On April 9th, the bead study group ventured out for a field trip. They met at Shepard Garden and carpooled to HackerLab for an 11:00 tour. The HackerLab is a large warehouse where many artists work and sell their wares on a daily basis. Members enjoyed a demonstration of the 3-D printer and the laser machine that carves designs on wood. After the tour and lunch, they visited Capital Beads and Zanzibar Tribal Arts store.
The May 8th meeting will feature member Jolene Morell (above left) and her button jewelry. June 12th will be a time to bring an unfinished project to work on.
