Workshop with Naïma Pagano
Do you have a ton of clothes sitting in your closet, begging to be transformed? This workshop will teach you how to design new fashions from old, outdated clothing. A small group of students will focus on transforming light weight garments into wearable summer clothes. We will look at the different ways of mending and tailoring creatively as well as diving into more complex transformation designs.
This class is an invitation to let your creativity go wild and learn new techniques as well as unconventional ways of designing clothes. Unique is our motto! Make something unique that represents who you are or the person you are creating for. This will be a creative journey!
What do you bring? Bring at least 4 T-shirts that you would like to combine together. Choose similar weights of fabric with harmonious colors and patterns. If you have more T-shirts, bring them and we make the final decision during workshop.
Both workshops will be held at Shepard Garden and Art Center, 3300 McKinley Boulevard, Sacramento, CA. Registration for each workshop is $75 for SCTA members, and $90 for non-members.
