What, besides getting our whites white, can we do with bleach? Sacramento Center for the Textile Arts’ bleach art workshop, Take It Away, with Dorothy Yuki, will teach you so many ways to use bleach. We will be creative and produce art on paper. We will see the surprises with our strokes and multi-media. In this workshop, students will produce a book or journal, make unusual cards and a few surprise pieces.
Please note: If you have an aversion to bleach, this workshop is not for you.
Registration for this one-day workshop is $65 for SCTA members, $80 for non-members. A $15 materials fee is payable to the instructor at the beginning of class, and a list of supplies will be provided prior to the workshop. To register, download and fill out this registration form, or send your name, contact information, payment made out to SCTA, and the workshop name to SCTA Program Chair, c/o 619 39th Street, Sacramento, CA 95816-3936. For more information please contact Diana Bosley.
Dorothy Yuki is an accomplished artist, calligrapher and teacher with extensive business and creative success. Here are two of her student’s reviews:
“Awesome teacher! Expert instruction, encouraging experimentation; and she had as much fun as we did in discovering the exciting results of our class work. It was a really rewarding experience.”
“Dorothy is a great teacher: organized, creative, good listener and full of empathy. She designed a class that was easy to understand, and at the same time, she woke up our imaginations.”
