In the October book arts meeting, we will start to explore accordion book structures. We’ll warm up with a couple of simple accordion folds and then make Hedi Kyle’s “pocket accordion with separate cover.” (Art of the Fold, page 41) Materials for this project will be provided.
Then if time permits, we will make a quick little book with an accordion spine that has pages attached with piano hinges. This project takes two sheets of double sided, medium weight 12” x 12” card stock and two 8 1/2” x 11” plain card or text sheets.
