Sacramento Center for the Textile Arts (SCTA) artists have been busily preparing and are looking forward to showing their latest creations to you. At ‘Meet the Artist’, many textile arts will be displayed and SCTA Study Groups will present the topics they have been studying together – sewing, beading, dyeing, embroidery/embellishing, knitting, crocheting, and more! Come to share conversations with SCTA artists, enjoy their fine work, and get to know more about the opportunities the SCTA offers to its neighbors. Light refreshments will be provided, and there will be door prizes to win. This is not a vending event, so there will be no items for sale. Open to the general public and free of charge. We would love to see you there!
Participating artists
Some of the artists participating are:
Carolyn Granados (Zebra Jewelry) and Anne DeStefano – In spite of what the commercials claim not “every kiss begins with Kays”, come see what our creative jewelers can create.

Gloria Grandy (Cre8tiv Glory) – Gloria creates and design cloth, soft sculpture dolls and hand painted fabric art.
Molly Stuart (Good Golly Garden) – Upcycling clothing with fabric, collage and embroidery.
Gloria Robertson (Glorious Greetings & Things) – Come see what you can crochet with a knitting loom.
Study groups
Each of our four study groups – Beading, Needle Arts, Surface Design and Book Arts – will share examples of recent projects. Come meet the members, try something new, and discover what you can accomplish participating in these groups.
