Please join us on Thursday, January 10 at 12:00pm for refreshments and general membership meeting. Following the meeting, Jeleana Johnson, SCTA Program Chairperson will share with us her fascination with African Mud Cloth. Mudcloth is most often associated with fiber artists in Mali who use fermented mud to dye woven cotton fabric that is then accented with painted or stamped decorative patterns. Jeleana will give a brief presentation of the history of Mud Cloth and display items made of Mud Cloth. We may even have a chance to try our hands at creating some!
This is a general membership event so admission is free to members of SCTA (and Weavers and Spinners) and $5 for guests.
