Sacramento Collective for the Textile Arts welcomes textile artists, craftspeople, collectors, college students, and the general public to engage in our vibrant community and activities.
What We Do
SCTA sponsors an array of educational programs throughout the year, including:
- Lectures by nationally recognized guest speakers on such topics as surface design, ethnic textiles, artistic clothing, quilting, weaving, jewelry.
- Workshops on techniques related to textile arts, including dyeing and printing, beading, quilting, embroidery, felting, mixed media, as well as papermaking/bookbinding.
- Trips to special events and places related to the textile arts.

Membership Levels
- Student – $25
- Individual – $50
- Additional Family Member – $25 each*
*Family members must reside at the same address as an Individual member.
Membership Details
Our membership year runs from May 1 to April 30, with renewals due annually on May 1. Once your application is processed, you will receive a welcome letter with additional SCTA information.

Surface Design & Mixed Media Group
